No other dogs!? How is that possible!!

Charlie would like me to let you know that he is really enjoying being an only dog! We have had a break of other dogs for one whole day plus 13 hours!!! I think he is a little bored though, but it is hard to tell because he went to work with my mom today and slept when he got home.

Last Tuesday we had to say goodbye to our friend Chucu. :( After having him for a month, his family returned and he went home. It was very obvious that Charlie was bored. He had gotten out of his previously grumpy mood a week or so before Chucu left so was playing with him again. The night that Chucu left you could tell that Charlie wanted to play with someone!

Revellie was here again. She was here when Chucu left and she left last Friday. Saturday we had our neighbors dog Velcro come over for a short visit. He left Monday morning, very early. Anyway, today Charlie went to work with my mom. One of her clients (Charlie's favorite person to see at work) was back after being in Hawaii for a few weeks and Charlie barked and barked at him...he wanted food and he was also happy to see him!

Not much else has happened in the last few weeks that I haven't posted...tomorrow we get a 9 year old beagle who unfortunately has cancer. :( Her name is Sophie and she will be here for a little over a week. Charlie also got some new food dishes. They are raised and are green with white paw prints on them. :)

I am going to try to be more diligent on blogging, but that won't happen until I charge my camera...if I can remember. :P

Just a quick post tonight to let everyone know that Charlie is just fine. :) I haven't had much time to take pictures or blog lately because of work and because I have to conserve my battery power on my computer because my charger short circuited....resulting in less internet time until I am able to either charge my computer with my brothers charger or get a new one! Such a hassle!!!

I hope to be able to post something tomorrow! I have a lot to say as quite a lot has been going on!

Charlie says he hopes you have a goodnight and he will be sure to get me to post something tomorrow. :)

Pictures

Well....I think I might take too many pictures of my dog. I just organized all my pictures of Charlie and I have a total of 542 pictures...solely of him! If this is what I am like with my dog, what am I going to be like with my child! 

Charlie is starting to get really tired of all the dogs that we have visiting. He is starting to snap at some of the dogs because they get in his way, he is being grumpy. We are trying to get him out of the house and give him a break of the dogs as often as possible. Tuesday he went to work with my mom and he got bored....because the food giver was not there! Today I took him on a car ride to go pick up some tax stuff for my mom and he slept most of the way there and back! Tomorrow he is going to work with my mom again. Hopefully he will get the rest he needs! Friday is Charlie's birthday! He will be 6 years old!!! Unfortunately, we have my grandparents coming over Friday and staying the weekend so we have to celebrate a day early. Oh well, Charlie won't know the difference! 

I don't have much to say about Charlie because he hasn't done much, but stay home this past week. He does still play with the two dogs we still have, Chucu and Revellie. I do however have quite a few pictures of the dogs that I will leave for you! :)

One of the Koi fish we have in our pond committed suicide...the dogs found him/her first. :( That is Chucu and Revellie sniffing around it.  

This is Gordie. He is a Cockapoo. We had him for the weekend.

Daisy has her own sleeping bag. It was warm the week we had her so she was half way out of it. She was so tired!

I decided to sit in the Media Room with my mom. She was on the couch next to me, but then Teddy and Gordie had to get up and then Charlie because I was now in the room and he needed to see me and then Revellie had to because Charlie did! My mom moved and I was left with all the dogs except Chucu!

Guess who is back!!!!

REVELLIE IS BACK!!!! My 2nd favorite westie!!! She hasn't come to our house for about a month and a half our so! Charlie and her have been playing a lot today, along with Chucu! I am so excited for her to be here again! She is so funny!

I had to watch some kids today while their mom finished some work. I was basically there to keep them company and keep them occupied. I had to leave before Revellie got here this morning, but that was ok because I had something to look forward to when I came home besides Charlie of course. While I was there I got a text from my dad, who very rarely texts so that was a nice surprise, that Charlie needed a break from playing and was taking a nap on my bed! Apparently, Daisy wanted to go into my room to sleep and get a break from the "younger" crowd (Charlie, Chucu, and Revellie) and Charlie looked like he wanted to go in there as well. He was sleeping on my bed for two hours! When I got home it was nice being greeted by everyone!

Right now all the dogs are crashed! Revellie is beside me in my mom's spot, Charlie is down by my legs/feet on the left and Chucu is on the left! Daisy is, thankfully, on the couch with my dad!

So this picture is a little old, but it is ok Zeke, the French Bulldog we had last week. I meant to post this sooner, but forgot I had it on my camera. He decided my legs were a comfortable bed!

I gave Charlie a mustache the other day at lunch. I wanted to curl it, but he wouldn't let me!

REVELLIE! 

Revellie was playing with this bone and then Charlie decided he wanted it....he never chews bones unless they have flavor on them. Lol.

She wanted outside real bad, but we just fed the fish so we didn't want to take chances of her jumping in the pond. I was opening the door a crack to tease her!

Birthday Party for Nana!

Yesterday we had a family BBQ for my Nana's recent 90th birthday. We had almost the whole family over. This was my dad's side of the family. Charlie had such a fun time because all the little kids were dropping food for him to get!

The first people to arrive were Dottie and Don. Dottie is my dad's cousin, so my second cousin, and her husband. We don't get to see them very often despite the fact that they live in Ballard because of conflicting schedules. They arrived at about 2 PM so that was when the fun began!

My Nana came next along with my Aunt Kathy who is my dad's older sister and her husband George. We all talked for awhile since we could still hear each other speak! Soon the house began to fill up with the arrival of my cousin P. J., his wife Amber, and their children Celeste, Niko, and Denali. The kid's are 9, 4, and 2, respectively so the house was just a little louder. Then came my uncle Paul, his wife Susan, my cousin Micheale, her husband Adam, and their one year old Shaun, the cutest baby ever! By this time the house was getting even louder and people started forming groups and talking amongst themselves. My cousin Debbie, her husband Jeff and their son Taylor, 10 came. Finally, after my dad had started the Hamburgers and Hotdogs the last group showed up. My cousin Costa, his wife Katie, their kids Sean, 18, Alex 14?, and Christopher ,11, and the girl's they are currently fostering Monyat 7, Ressi, 3 , and Symphony, 2.

The party was really fun!  After having dinner we of course had cake and also cookies. We all sang happy birthday to my Nana who had a hard time not crying. :) Now back to Charlie. He loved all the attention he got, he was petted by all the kids many times. He even got to eat a lot of food that Shaun dropped on the floor. By the time the party was over it was about 7 pm. Charlie went out and said goodbye to the last guests with us, but the minute he got back inside he went to his kennel and just crashed! He is still tired today and even more so now because he got a bath!

Soon we will have to have another party because it is almost Charlie's birthday! I plan on making him a cake, not a human cake, but a doggie one! I will have to find a recipe though!
